 | Heroes Legend: New special "splitted" offer - 8 or 15 days rallying in 2012.

The Organisation of the "Heroes Legend" is already in full preparation for the 2012 event - the 6th edition. "Thanks to our participants, finalizing entry's and sponsors, we have all the confidence we need to make this 6th edition a great success" the Organisation said.
Interesting: If a 2-weeks rally is too long to combine with running your business or because there just isn't enough spare time, there will be a shorter version concentrated on 8 days. (October 7-14, 2012). "But of course the normal Event will be the usual 15 days, but parallel to the 15 days rally we will have an 8 days event through Mauritania and Senegal" the Organisation told.
Vehicles will be shipped and the participants will start with the rest of the caravan fin the 1st stage in Mauritania. Why Mauretania? "Morocco is nowadays easily accessible alone and a lot of raids and rallies of all kinds take place there all year. We want to do something different and give people a better challenge. This way you will be able to feel the magic of the Sahara Desert first hand, in an area which still presents you with untouched Dunes and an environment which is not disturbed by tourists."
They added: "Mauritania for example welcome us with open arms and will supervise us all along the route. We elaborated the route with the local authorities to avoid the zones which could be risky as for example, the east part along the border with Mali. We have been there already several times and everything went very well. There is no reason not to enjoy this magnificent country and its 'magic' desert."
What´s about Quads and SSV? "Manufacturers propose machines reliable and completely capable of participating in this kind of rallies without specific preparation, sports, utility or touring versions. We offer a customized race and adapted to the specificities of these machines: Large spaces and tracks, split stages, very few liaison sections, assistance with 4x2 vehicles, truck, van, campers... We will take care of all the logistic for the participants.
This formula is also opened to the other types of vehicles as motorcycles, buggy or 4x4. Vehicles will have to be delivered in an European harbour and will also be transported back after the rally (there will be several grouping points in Europe).
