Hungarian Baja: Fourth Baja will be held from August 23rd - 26th.

This is the fourth time the Hungarians organise the HunGarian Baja Cross-Country Challenge which is the seventh event of the National Cross-Country Championship of Hungary. It is a candidating event for the International Cup for Cross-Country Bajas and also the fifth round of the open Czech- and Slovak Republic National Championship for Cross-Country Rally. And what is more, it is an event of the Quad Baja European Championship. Cars and trucks - Challenge
Entrants may register and participate in the national championship, where the total lenght of the selective sections will be 470 kilometres. Or if you choose the international race you will have to accomplish an additional 170 kilometre long stage after the Sunday stage, which will be the longest in the 3-day race. The entrants of the Challenge Cup will not accomplish a 120 kilometre long section on Saturday.
Motors and quads
Motobikers and quad drivers will participate in the international race, but will be distinguished in several categories. The total distance which they have to accomplish is 647 km.

Just like in previous years the race starts at Tagore walkway on 24th August, 8 PM. For cars, two prologues will be compulsory, which will be held some hours before the official opening ceremony, but there will be plenty of time to be in time at the ceremony. Before posting the invitations and regulations to the potential entrants, more than 10 foreign entrants have already sent their registration to us, and amongst them there are four truck teams who are newcomers in this race.
The HunGarianBaja event is going to be a big bang in the Cross-Country Championship (just like in 2004 and 2006 when this event got the "Race of the year" title in Hungary) because the FIA candidated this race previously to the next year Baja calendar at that case if the recent race will be successful.
