The countdown has already started, and not much time is left until cross-country's greatest competitors began to fight for the championship of the 2012 HunGarian Baja FIA World Cup, which takes place on brand new racetracks near the beautiful city of Gyor from August 23-26.
Zoltán Garamvölgyi, the lead organizer told that, the superspecial will be held on a extravagant scenario, where the audience will see world famous drivers and meet superstar guests. Other splendid news: No entry fee to Friday's prologue and the Service Park, set up in ETO Park (Gyor), also receives visitors freely.
Less than two weeks are left till cross-country's top contenders arrive to Gyor for the second time to decide who is number one at the Hungarian Baja FIA Grand Prix. Most of the preparation has been done, only the finishing touches to be made to start the race between august 23-26.
"Two locations were taken into consideration. Firstly, Veszprém, which gave home six times before, and secondly, last year's excellent host, Gyor. Eventually, we agreed with the folks of the latter, thus it is going to be the second time the Hungarian challenge moves to Gyor" said the organizer Zoltán Garamvölgyi.
Garamvölgyi, who usually competes as a navigator, but can't attend the race according to FIA rules, also spoke about that the tracks have been marked already, and the crew will cruise through new locations near Gyor.
Although, these new tracks are not exposed yet to the public, they hope it will be a huge hit and if the drivers like it, this new territory's selective sections could be widen up to couple more hundred kilometres. Moreover, these areas could be easily modified and varied each year.
"However the tracks' outlook are still a secret, I guarantee it will be a pleasant surprise for everyone! I am only giving away that, it contains a sixty-, and a seventy kilometre long section, which both are to be accomplished twice" reported the Hungarian Baja's legal owner.
Anyhow, the august 24th (Friday) superspecial section are to be held in a scene - Port of Gyor-Gönyu's Industrial Park - which is audience friendly, and almost all the events of the prologue can be nicely seen.
"The entry to the Friday's superspecial is free. And those who willing to come to this hopefully spectacular race, will have the chance to meet special guests from other technical sports. Who are these guests? Let it be another surprise, because some negotiations are still in progress" said Zoltán Garamvölgyi.
After the superspecial, the ETO Park welcomes you for the Opening Ceremony, which is also free to attend, like the service park situated in this very same arena.
"The service park not only offers to examine the cars, motorcycles and quads involved in the race, but you will have the opportunity to meet the drivers personally" told the main organizer.
