|Hungarian Baja: X-raid´s Quandt - "Want to win again before the Dakar".|
Mini will come with a very strong team to the next "Hungarian Baja" between the 15th and the 18th of August. The will be represented by Nani Roma / Michel Perin and Krzysztof Holowczyc / Andreas Schulz. The first duo won the Spanish World Championship race and the "Baja Spain Aragon" and the latter is second on the combined table. The team leader, Sven Quandt, hopes that one of the racers will win at the Hungarian Baja.
The X-raid Mini Team are already in a fantastic form and many experts expect them to win the next Dakar in 2014. At the race before the Hungarian Baja, Nani Roma, Orlando Terranova, Stéphane Peterhansel and Krzysztof Holowczyc conquered the first four spots respectively. Moreover, Roma achieved his third win a row in Spain.
"The at home was very important to me so I am glad that I could win. I will have to get know the new car but beside that I hope I can achieve a good result," Roma said
Krzysztof Holowczyc, who was the fourth in the Baja Aragon, was very satisfied with his result and his red Mini All4 Racing: "The two most important things for me right now is to gather as many points as I can and to take part in as many competition, before the Dakar, as I can," the Pole said.
Stephane Peterhansel will be in Papa but just as his wife’s, Andrea Mayer, mechanic. He just has won the "Rally dos Sertões" in Brazil, which is probably one of the toughest races this year, at the beginning of August in Brazil.
So it is not a surprise that the team leader Sven Quandt expects a great result after these successes. "The new Mini All4 Racing has worked out well so we want to win again before the Dakar. The Hungarian race is very important to us because we want to develop our vehicles,” Quandt said.
