 | Hungarian CCC: Cross-Country Rally meets wellness - Aqua-Palace Cup.
|
The Hungarian Cross-Country Championship starts on 8-10th April in Hajdúszoboszló with a very special race: The "Aqua-Palace Cup". The organisers want to give croos-country rallies a brand new flavour with... wellness!
"We thought a lot about, how to make this kind of sport and the rallies themselves more popular. The characteristics and traditions of the new host of our event lead directly to the idea to connect cross-country rally with wellness," says Attila Csató, head of the organising committee.
And how does it work? With the agreement of the clerk of the course, the organisers set up an itinerary, that insures, that at the end of each day the participants and spectators have time to discover the specialities of the town. In Hajdúszoboszló everyone can find what is needed for a perfect weekend.
After racing (or watching the rally) one can enjoy the beneficial effects of the thermal water or enjoy the water fun park so the rally weekend can be a real family event. You can find all information on [ www.hungarospa.hu ].
"We plan a fast-paced rally with few service opportunies," says the organiser. "The vehicles will be practically always on the move so the race will be exciting and interesting for both the participants and the spectators. We pay special attention for the environmental protection: we will have very strict rules for refuelling and washing of the vehicles."
The observing of these rules will be supervised by a dedicated rally officer. The rally also welcomes foreign participants.
As for the tracks, they are fast dirt roads, much similar to those of last year but the organisers redesigned them in such a tricky way that no driver would notice that these are the same roads. Total length of the rally is 646 km of which 330 km will be against the clock. Unlike most Hungarian rallies, distance will be the same for all categories, including TH, bikes and quads.
Last year this rally (at that time the rally HQ was in Derecske) became one of the most exciting rounds of the championship. Erik Korda and László Palik, both with Nissan Navara, kept fighting to the seconds all weekend long and at the end only three seconds decided for the latter one.
The rally HQ will be in the József Attila street and Hotel Délibáb. At the second weekend of April, the town of Hajdúszoboszló and the name sponsor of the rally, Aqua-Palace welcomes all participants and spectators with the traditional Hungarian hospitality and, hopefully, with another exciting and memorable rally.
