Chevrolet launched 2007 Tahoe SUV in Lebanon

Off the back of an impressive top five ranking for sales of General Motors’ (GM) vehicles in Lebanon, the eagerly anticipated, all-new 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe, made its debut at IMPEX, the exclusive Chevrolet dealer in Beirut.

The launch comes on the heels of the May 2006 Association of Car Importers report which shows that GM is now ranked among the top five automotive companies for vehicle sales in Lebanon. The company has seen formidable growth throughout 2006, with total sales from January to May of 531 units in Lebanon, an increase of 32% over the same period in 2005.

Farid Homsi, GM, IMPEX, said: "During the first quarter of 2006, we have seen an increase of 27% over the same period in 2005. Chevrolet continues to drive our success throughout this market and today’s launch of the new 2007 Tahoe is by far one of the most exciting developments in recent years. We are extremely delighted to have the new model in the showroom so early on in the year."

Representing a new generation of SUV’s, comprehensively redesigned Tahoe builds on the qualities of its predecessor and delivers a sharper driving experience, more power, segment-leading fuel efficiency, improved interior refinement, superior quietness and distinctive, sporty exterior design.

"The 2007 Tahoe, with its host of new features, sets new standards in the full-size SUV segment. The vehicle is a clear winner in a competitive and demanding segment and our record of sales in the US reflects just that. There’s no doubt in my mind that we will achieve the same success here", said Luay Al Shurafa, GM’s regional manager for Levant and Kuwait.
