|

 | | | The "FIA World Cup Season Opener" Italian Baja will be more and more interesting. After the first "Headliners" Leonid Novitskiy, Boris Gadasin and Matthias Kahle, now also Stéphane Peterhansel confirmed his participation in Italy. Both will drive with X-raid BMW X3CC - the Mini of Peterhansel is still in preparation for the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge.
From Poland there will be a third X-raid BMW: Piotr Beaupre and Jacek Lisicki bought the former X5CC of Portugal´s Leal dos Santos.
The Hungarian Zoltan Garamvölgyi opened the entry-list, together with Peter Simon the organizer of the "Hungarian Baja" will start with a Nissan Pathfinder. From Saudi Arabia we will see Yazeed Al Rajhi together with the French Mathieu Baumel, they will drive a Belgian Overdrive Nissan Navara.
Also interesting: Four special cars from Eastern Europe. Former World Cup winner Miroslav Zapletal (with Tomas Ourednicek) and Zdenek Porizek (with Marek Sykora) from Czech Republic will participate with their self-developed Hummer H3 CC. From Poland we will see the former "Breslau Rally"-winner Albert Gryszczuk with Rafal Marton and Rafal Pluciennik/Michal Krawczyk with the FIA-premiere of their Porsche Cayenne T2.
But the biggest sensation: "Le Patron" Jean Louis Schlesser from France will start again in Italy with his Schlesser-Buggy. 60 cars, 7 bikes and 15 quads/ATV signed for the event, which will be held in Pordenone from March 17-20.
