 | 20th Italian Baja: Many great news for the Italian Baja’s anniversary 2013
|
The "Fuoristrada Club 4x4 Pordenone" is already organizing the opening race of the FIA Cross Country Rallies World Cup. A Mega Party has been planned to welcome participants, creating a proper atmosphere to be shared by teams, authorities, sponsors and fans - There is no such thing as an obstacle for the "Italian Baja".
No economic crisis could stop it. On the contrary, the Italian Baja is ready to face in a very special way the 2013 World Cup, which represents its third FIA World Cup for Cross Country Rallies (car) and its second Fim Bajas World Cup (bikes and quads); although their challenge won’t have validity for the World competition, trucks will be included again, as their performance always assure a particular charming and amazing show among the stones obstacles along the Meduna, Cosa and Tagliamento riverbeds.
Countdown began for the 20th edition of the race, which will take place from 14th to 17th March 2013, measuring time and approaching the start, while organizers hardly work to define the route and all details, fighting against time.
"We are thrilled as if it was the very first time" assures Mauro Tavella, the invincible captain of the Fuoristrada Club 4x4 Pordenone - and fired with enthusiasm facing all together this adventure. "Although the spending review influences our choices, we will come over all those difficulties, as we already succeeded in the past, surprising all fans and even all people who usually disagree with our race."
The strength of the Italian Baja, anyway, has been widely demonstrated through the past 20 editions, which led the race from its birth as a wagering joke until the Cross Country Rallies World Cup, although it was stopped and had to reach the highest level once more.
Santa Claus brought a sack full of great news: A new route and more charming landscapes chosen for the start and arrival ceremonies are anyway not the unique brand new project; a Megaparty at the Pordenone Fair on Friday evening, 15th March, will celebrate the arrival line of the Super Special Stage "Royal Beach". Participants and their whole teams will share the Mega Galadinner organized to welcome them together with authorities and sponsors and to promote our Land.
"If we just think that the race represents the image of Pordenone and the region Friuli Venezia Giulia through a wide natural and International stage" remarks Corrado Della Mattia, President of the Automobile Club. As in 2012 drivers and riders came from 3 continents, that’s to say 21 different Nations, it is easy to understand how big our responsibility is in supporting such an effort made by the Organization Committee."
The 2013 edition of the World Cup will start from Pordenone again and will be divided into 8 races: Italian Baja, Desert Challenge (United Arab Emirates), Sealine Cross Country Rally (Qatar), Baja España Aragon (Spain), Hungarian Baja (Hungary), Baja Poland (Poland), Pharaons International Cross Country Rally (Egypt), Baja Portalegre 500 (Portugal).
