Registration to the "Italian Baja" 2012 has already started. The greatest news of the appointment, which will take place on 15th/18th March, are two: The validity of the World Cup also for bikes and quads; the participation of trucks (T4), which can finally take part to the competition.
Regarding the track, news will be spreaded only at the very last moment, in order to avoid any possibility of recognition. It will be a fast and hard track, made by the compact ground of terrain paths in the local countryside, near Zoppola and San Giorgio della Richinvelda and by the insidious riverbeds of the Cosa torrent and the Tagliamento river which have to be crossed in the surrounding of the towns San Martino al Tagliamento, Valvasone, Spilimbergo and San Vito al Tagliamento.
A dazzling show will offer deep emotions for all those who are fond of Cross Country vehicles. Just one Selective Section that cars, trucks, bikes and quads will repeat twice on Saturday (in one way) and twice on Sunday (in the opposite direction), for a total length of about 400 timed km, in addition to the 10 km of the Super Special Stage on Friday afternoon, that’s to say holes and arduous jumps to be carefully outbraved.
Italian Baja got a special medal just four weeks before the start of the event: The National TV "Raisport" will be media partner of the competition for the whole period of the event, assuring programs, pictures, videos, as well as interviews with protagonists. "We are very proud of this result" declares organizer Mauro Tavella. "But we are still working in order to get also an international visibility. Race’s highlights will be widely transmitted through Sat from the Pordenone Fair."
Good news seems to be the registration of the Mitsubishi Ralliart Team headed by Renato Rickler, ready to consign its Pajero to the experience of two Brazilian drivers. In this case, the Italian Baja could register also some South- American driver, that’s to say the race would be represented by four Continents, considering the already confirmed arrivals from Europa, Asia and Africa.
The registration of Andrea Brunod seems to mean a first involving challenge between 450cc bikers: "Without any doubt I’ll have to hardly fight against Alberto Basso" confirmed the biker from Val d’Aosta. "As I aim to reach the podium and it will be a honor to ride among such high level bikers." Andrea Brunod is really fond of baja and rally races, as well as Speed- and Cross Country Navigation races.
Interesting news also among quads, thanks to the registration of the Russiam Dimitry Pavlov and Vadim Kushinov, who will ride their powerful Honda Trx700.
