The Russian Boris Gadasin has won the Italian Baja 2011 with his G-Force Proto and 52 seconds lead in front of Leonid Novitskiy (X-raid BMW) and 3,36 minutes before the German Matthias Kahle in his SAM Mercedes 35CC.
Fourth was the Czech Miroslav Zapletal with his premiere in the X-raid BMW X3CC in front of the French Jean-Louis Schlesser (V8 Buggy) and Zedenek Porizek from Czech republic in his Hummer H3 Proto.
The Baja was shortened extremely after heavy rainfalls in the Pordenone-region, so the stages had only max. 120 kilometers per day without any difficulties. "This was the easiest Italian Baja I have ever seen, only pists and asphalt routes" one participant said, "without the single waterhole you could drive it with a Volkwagen Golf."
