 | Italian Baja TICKER: High Noon in Italy - Vasilyev and G-Force new leader.
|

 | | | The Italian Baja 2012 remains pulsating: At 10:40 CET the first participants finished the 4th and second-last stage of the FIA Cross Country World Cup opener 2012... and the Russian G-Force driver Vasilyev takes the overall lead in front of the Dutchmen Peter van Merksteijn (Toyota) with only 21 seconds... so both have to drive hard in the last stage of approx. 80 kms, which will start on midday (13:00 CET).
Third became the finnish WRC driver Tony Gardemeister with his Latvian RE-Autoklub Mitsubishi Proto (+3:30) in front of the Ukrainian Bogdan Novitskiy (G-Force, +6:26) and Jean-Louis Schlesser (Buggy, +7:13).
Bad day for the Czech-Polish "Offroadsport" Team: The Polish former Ski World Champion Adam Malysz retired (but actually we don´t know why)... and also the former FIA World Champion Miroslav Zapletal had to stop his X-raid BMW X3CC after technical problems. This is especially bad, because the Czech has to transport the BMW to Abu Dhabi on Monday...
