Kyle LeDuc won the 2012 Pro 4 Unlimited class championship this past weekend during Round 15 of the "Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series" (LOORRS) at Firebird International Raceway in Chandler, Arizona (USA).
LeDuc’s domination began early in the season with six consecutive wins. His win total would ultimately be seven races along with 10-podiums. LeDuc’s 900+ horsepower #99 Ford F-150 relied on Toyo Open Country M/T-R tires to get the power to the ground.
LeDuc began on Friday by setting the fastest lap in practice. He then qualified in fifth, securing his spot in Saturday’s final points race. His strategy was to finish in eighth place or better to seal the championship. Starting from the back, he ultimately made his way to the front to finish on the podium in third place, becoming the 2012 Pro 4 Unlimited class champion.
"I started from the back on race day, passed all the trucks and got third," said Kyle LeDuc. "It was a great start to the season, and then to cap it off by winning my second professional short course championship. My Toyo tires were awesome from the beginning to the end, making for an awesome season."
"The entire team at Toyo Tires wishes to congratulate Kyle LeDuc for winning the 2012 Pro 4 Unlimited class championship in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series," said Stan Chen, manager of events and motorsports, Toyo Tire USA. "We are proud that our M/T-R tires helped to make this championship possible."
Kyle LeDuc’s 2012 Pro 4 Unlimited class championship marks the second professional short course off-road racing championship win for Toyo Tires. Almost to the day in 2009, the late Rick Huseman won the Pro 4X4 Truck class championship in the former TORC series.
