Following the Memorandum of Understanding recently signed between the Egyptian Minister of Tourism and the National Sports Council guaranteeing the effective organization and running of the 2010 Pharaoh’s Rally, the Executive Board has decided to release the registration of this event back into the 2010 FIM Cross-Country Rally World Championship calendar.
FIM, the world governing body for motorcycle sport, is an independent association formed by 101 National Federations throughout the world. It is recognised as the sole competent authority in motorcycle sport by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
In addition, the date of the Tunisia Rally has been modified. The 2010 modified FIM Cross-Country Rally World Championship calendar is as follows:
