After huge and dramatic fight the Czech Miroslav Zapletal and his co-pilot Tomas Ourednicek finished the Hungarian Championship 2009 in their Mitsubishi L200 Strakar with the triumph and the title of the /b>Hungarian Champion. Within the frame of Hungarian championship the Zapletal/Ourednicek crew reached 2nd place at the Hungarian Baja near the Balaton Lake, closely after Hungarian champion from last year, Lazolo Palik. Zapletal´s second position was enough for the triumph in the Hungarian championship.
This competition belongs to international FIA Baja Cup series, where Zapletal-Ourednicek crew continusously occupies third position. Because of the disqualification of the Russian Boris Gadasin, who continuously leads the international Championship FIA, the crew Zapletal/Ourednicek has a geat chance for overall victory.
Miroslav Zapletal comments: "The entire race was very tight from the beginning till the last kilometer. We knew that both, Palik and Szalay, were going to fight hard, so the one and only strategy of ours could be to get the most out of our team with maximal concentration. We are very happy, that we won the Hungarian Championship, and we would like to thank to all of our Hungarian friends!"
