|MT Rally 2012: Polish Rally for bikes/cars/trucks opens Amateur-scene 2012.|
The beginning of a new rally season should always be opened with a decent party: This year directly after Easter, the Polish "MT Rally" will be the opener of the European Amateur-Rallyraid series, directly in front of the Greek "Evia Rally" and German "Baja 300 MD". The MT Rally is a licence-free event for cross-country motorcycles, quads, cars and even trucks.
The rally decides between "Mud Class" and "Cross Country Class" - so it´s open for trophy- and rallycars. The mud-section will also cross water- and muddy areas and a winch is mandatory. The cross-country cars will drive the same stages - except the water and mud. A interesting mix since years - including a big familiar atmosphere inside organisation and camp.
The organisers "Moli" and "Thomasz" are well known in the rally-scene. Moli "Pawel Molinski" has been running a Land Rover service in Poznan for over 15 years. He also took part in many international rallies such as Dakar, Africa Eco Race, Tuareg Rally, El Chott and won a number of polish off-road trophies. Tomasz is ex banker who give up corporate life (18 long years) for his sport marketing agency.
The "MT Rally" will traditionally be held in the military-ground between the cities Drawsko Pomorskie and Recz. Located in the southeast of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship (since 1999) in the region of the Pomeranian mountain crest. Drawsko lies near the headwater of the Drawa, west of an expansive woodland which includes the protected area called Drawsko Landscape Park. The city of Szczecin is 100 km to the west.
The startings fees (early bird until March 1st) begin at 310 Euros for Bike and Quad (incl. driver), 520 Euros for cars (2 persons) and 900 / 1020 Euros for trucks (2 or 3 persons). For more informations visit the official website at [ mtrally.pl ] also in English language.
