|NORRA Mexican 1000: El Martillo Racing and Dodge Durango to start in Mexico|
The South American-mixed "El Martillo Racing" team will race for the very first time in Baja/Mexico the vehicle that finished the 2014 Dakar Rally in South America. The powerful Dodge Durango prototype will get some action in the beautiful landscapes of the Baja peninsula from the 10th to the 14th of May.
The race, also called "The happiest race on earth" will be a four-stages Rally, starting May 11th in Ensenada arriving in Bahia de Los Angeles for the 1st stage; the 2nd competition day, (12th) will finish in Loreto, to start again in that picturesque town, driving down to the capital of the state, La Paz on the 13th, then starting again in La Paz to reach the tip of the peninsula the 14th getting the checkered flag in San Jose del Cabo.
Nicolas Ambriz and his mechanics crew are working hard to have the car ready, not all the parts for the modifications have arrived on time as planned but the car will be fit for the race and the team is motivated and excited to participate in their second Norra Mexican 1000.
The Durango will be driven by Matt Campbell and Luis "Fito" Ramirez, who is back in the team having the NORRA as the first race with El Martillo this year. Nicolas Ambriz will be the navigator as usual and the car will race in the Unlimited Class against racers such as Walker Evans and John Langley.
