 | Northern Forest: Russian G-Force crew to start at winter-ice rally in Igora.

Less than a month passed since G-Force Motorsport’s two crews successfully finished the mighty Dakar 2013, and now the team is preparing for the new race. Both the Russian Championship and the "Cup of Russia" series of 2013 start with Baja "Northern Forest".
Vladimir Vasilyev / Vitaly Yevtyekhov and Victor Volikov / Anatoly Volikov go after the prizes of the new season. As rumours said, the team will test the all-new G-Force prototype (see shot video).
The race that caught the fancy of Russian racers comes back after a two years’ pause. Just to recall, in 2009 and 2010 this was an off-road FIA World Cup run and in 2010 the imposing name of "Russia Northern Forest" was given to it.
This year it got a candidate status and hopefully the next time it will be held as a FIA World Cup stage again. The Northern Forest is the only Baja, which will be driven on snow and ice.
The first stage of Russian Championship 2013 will take place just in 54 km from Saint Petersburg, near the Igora ski resort. The area warmly welcomed the race headquarter, the press center, the service zone and the overnight park fermé.
The race is held in a short format of two days only. The first day, February 15th, the participants come through the administrative checks and scrutineering, and the next day, February 16th, they will start for 3 rounds of the competition.
