 | Oilibya du Maroc: Excellent start for the French Eric Vigouroux Racing Team.

Everything runs so smoothly that it almost reaches perfection for EVR in Morocco since the technical and administrative checks that took place in Sunday, October 14 in Erfoud, the small touristic village located at the desert entrance.
The Trophy Truck went through all mandatory controls without any problems and created the sensation once again due to its unique look that attires everyone.
Within these excellent conditions, Eric Vigouroux and Alex Winocq arrived to the starting line of the first special stage that counted 271 km total on a fast and very technical terrain, with the first dune crossing over Merzouga to "spice up" the day!
"It was a real rally raid stage, where you had to be totally focused due to the demanding rhythm and the different tricks along the road. We decided to start out in a wise pace in order to take our marks and make sure that the Trophy Truck would react well in every situation" said Vigouroux.
"After the first 130 km and the dune crossing, we were confident and we decided to go out and enjoy it , exploring all the potential of our car in a very rough terrain up to CP3."
In fact, the time registered in the three control passages of the day show that the Trophy Truck´s power was raising along the special, fighting with the top performing cars of the moment. At the finish, Eric Vigouroux and Alex Winocq accomplished a great ending closing the stage in the third place, only 1 minute and 40 seconds of the stage winner, after 3 hours of racing.
"We could not expect a better result," stated Vigouroux while taking out his helmet at the finish line. "We run as clean as we could all day. Alex did a great navigation work and we crossed the dunes without any mistakes, which takes us to a beautiful third place tonight. Still, we need to keep in mind that this is only the beginning of the rally, and we still have to do our best to get a good position at the finish line."
For the moment, Vigouroux, Winocq and the entire EVR team taste the sweetness of this first result which is a great motivation for the stages to come, and also for tomorrow, which will be the longest stage of the rally.
