OiLibya Rally: Eric Vigouroux in 9th Position after Prologue.

On a ground not really adapted for two wheels, Eric Vigouroux and Alex Winocq did not take any risks and got the ninth place of the Super Special. Carried out by the end of Wednesday afternoon, on the beach of the gulf of Tunis, the 5 km super special was determining for the starting order of tomorrow´s stage. The sand was well hardened by the rain of this morning; there was no fear of getting stuck. The track included some nice "whops" and the ruts were not very dug, but on the other hand, the departure was not easy at all.

"For bikes, it is not evident to start on the sand, and we sunk a little. Then, it took a while for the Trophy Truck to speed again", explained Eric. "After the departure, we were a little anxious. We rode without adding too much, in order to check that everything works well on the car. It seemed to be ok, except for a little problem of the radio to be fixed. I couldn´t understand what Alex was saying, but nothing really wrong".

Because of the unstopping rain these last days, the first special of the OilLibia Rally of Tunisia, the second special, Mella - Tunis - Wadi, envisaged on 250km for this Thursday April 23rd, was shortened. This does not disturb too much Pro-System´s crew, because it is all the first part of it, on narrow tracks in sinuous mountains, which was taken out. The organizers reduced the special to 60kms, to "save" and keep the sporting interest of this next stage that approaches everyone to the desert, where serious things and the real race will start.
