|OiLibya Rally of Tunisia: What they said after the final Stage in Tunisia.|
Jean-Louis Schlesser: "It was nice. a sixth victory for me and seventh for the Team! For the first time since long ago I started very anxious when I saw the weather conditions. Everything could have changed. We did a regular performance all week long, besides the episode with a bike that made us lose 10 minutes. The only bad note was the accident of Jean-Marie Lurquin. News are reassuring, and I would like to dedicate this victory to him and his family. My second good point is Konstantin, who has shown he is good at it from the beginning. He was perfect! In two races this season, two victories!"
Christian Lavieille: "The weather conditions could have changed everything. We reached Schlesser in the small dunes, but I didn´t want to take unnecessary risks. Four years on the standings and not yet one victory. Mistakes are human, so I am not angry at Jean-Michel, me too I would have made a mistake! I regret that´s for sure. To win, you have to make no mistakes. We did one, Novitskiy too, but not Jean-Louis."
Leonid Novitskiy: "I´m very happy with the result because after the problem in the 4th stage, I kept fighting for stage victories. For the rest of the season, my goal will be, of course, the World Cup, and of course, to go to the South-America-Dakar."
Eric Vigouroux: "Everything can change at the least detail and we weren´t lucky this time. but I am sure that we will get there. Our new car should be ready in the next months."
Laurent Rosso: "We accomplished our objective! We started calmed, and then we took the leadership from the second stage, and then, we managed. Bernard was perfect in navigation and we never got out plates or shovels. And also, we take points for the World Cup. To win in Tunisia makes me so happy!"
Elisabete Jacinto: "I am really happy and the race was magnificent, I loved it! These last days were difficult for trucks, mostly in the small dunes. We found a great balance between the crew and the truck. My next races will be Morocco and Africa Race."
Ronan Chabot: "The rally was a great warm up with the new car, and this 4th place is very satisfying. We enjoyed a lot."
Ludovic Leloup: "I am very happy. The three first days we run to the 80% because the tracks weren´t made for the Toyota. Our goal was to get to the top 9 and we are 7th! Not bad!"
Yves Fromont: "I was one of the first to drive a bowler, I started in 2004. We have fun with Paul, it is a great position. Today, some fright and some shoveling and a damaged ventilator. It was hot!"
"Chaleco" Lopez: "This last stage was not really a formality. Visibility was an issue and it was easy to lose the track, so I made efforts to run "calmed". This is the first time that I win a World Cup event, and I am extremely happy. My next races are Sardinia and Egypt. For the South-America-Dakar, this result makes me feel more comfortable, but we are not there yet"
Marc Coma: "Maybe it was the most complicated day of the race. The lack of visibility made it harder, but once I saw the helicopter I was assured. After my victory in Dubai, I comfort my first place in the World Championship here, and that is not bad! I would like to congratulate Chaleco, who has done a good race. From our side, we will keep working on bikes, and we think to run on the 450cc in Morocco, before going to the Dakar. My next race: Sardinia."
Jakub Prygonski: "My eyes hurt this morning. The sand and the wind were so bad and I think I lost three minutes to find the right track. I finished 2nd on the + 450 cc, but I am not disappointed because it is Marc Coma who is before me. Third place is not that bad."
Jacek Czachor: "We did a beautiful race, a team race with Jakub and Marek. The three of us finished well. I hope that one day Jakub will win over Coma!"
David Casteu: "From CP1, the wind was horrible. It was almost impossible to see the track. For the "young guys" was hard! The evaluation is quite positive. We did a great job in Tunisia, in different grounds from those in Dubai. We still need to improve in speed, but globally, I am satisfied. In the World Championship, this rally gives me points to keep the lead."
Rafal Sonik: "The last stage was a good day! We would have though t that this race was easy, but the rally got more interesting as days were passing. My goal, the World Championship and, of course, the Dakar."
Vincent Albira: "I am satisfied that my quad worked well. I learnt a lot of navigation and at a technical level. I have some modifications to do for the future, especially to increase speed. Physically, my back has stood with me!"
Dimitry Pavlov: "I had a navigation problem in the stage and I lost time. Vincent run well and I took my second place. I am very happy to be here because it wasn´t an easy race."
Romain Souvignet: "I really enjoyed the rally. I had some doubts at some moments, especially in navigation, but globally it was great. I am not professional, the bike for me is to have fun and I never thought of winning. My best memory. the penultimate stage, were I felt the "spirit of rally-raid."
Philippe Pages: "Positive conclusion! My goal was to be between the 15th and the 20th, and I am 16th! It is perfect. At my level, it is a great performance, I am rewarded! And I didn’t have any mechanical problem."
