Optic 2000 Tunisia 2007 Special-Newssection (FIM Cross Country Worldcup)

This is the single-news section of the marathonrally.com special of the Optic 2000 Tunisia Rally 2007, 1st round of the FIM Worldcup for Cross Country Rallys. To see all news please use the link under the article or navigate with the left main-navigation.

Optic Tunisia: Description of the 5th stage El Borma - Nekrif.

The first 115 km will be sand and the navigation on this more or less invisible track will have to be carefully watched. The Passe des Douaniers which concludes the first third of the special could once again play tricks on the competitors. The sand will then become a fast track, for about 40 km.

After the assistance, the route will be more varied, punctuated by level changes, sometimes hazardous before reaching the Jnaien Fort. A wonderful wadi will mark the beginning of an end to this special, being both fast and technically challenging amidst some striking picturesque canyons. The hundred-year-old eucalyptuses of the bivouac will offer a really deserved rest to the competitors who will have already covered half of the Rally.

Thursday April, 5th 2007 - 5th stage: El Borma - Nekrif - 338 km

Liaison: Bivouac/Start of the Special 12 km
Special: El Borma - Oum Zougar 312 km
