Optic Tunisia: Eric Vigouroux to start with new Chevrolet Trophy-Truck.

The French Eric Vigouroux has already taken part to several rallies of Tunisia, but not yet with his new Chevrolet Trophy Truck. "This year, the rally of Tunisia deliberately left the Rally-raid world cup FIA and modified its technical rules to make it just like the Dakar. It gives us the opportunity to take part to it with the trophy truck that corresponds to the American regulation ´Open Score´", says the boss of Pro-System Racing. Dakar excepted, the Rally of Tunisia, the Pharaohs rally and maybe, the Rally of Morocco, are now open to this category of American machine. "We have the possibility of running in three or four African race each year, which gives interest to our vehicles."

The Rally of Tunisia will take place from the 30th of March to the 8th of April. The technical verification will occur at Brignoles (France), in the "Var", before boarding in Marseille to Corsica! Indeed, the two first stages will be running near from Propriano. The Tunisian ground will be touched on Monday, the 2nd of April. Seven stages are scheduled, each one is composed of a race between 100 and 350 km, and the finish will be judged at Tozeur.

"The Chevrolet Trophy Truck will be in the same technical configuration as the in the Dakar, with few modification around the propeller shaft. The objective is to wipe out the disappointment we felt two month ago in Mauritania, were we experienced a taste of "unfinished". "We will do everything to make a great race, and who knows, perhaps will we get a good place at the finish," Eric said. "We wish to start from good bases for the rest of the season, which will be quite light. Indeed, 2007 will be a transition year for the Pro-System Racing. First, I´m preparing the installation of my family in San Diego, in California, and considering many opportunities of continuing to evolve in motor sports universe in USA. Moreover, a new car is prepared and envisaged for 2009. All of that is very work and time consuming. We are probably going to be a little less present in competitions but it doesn´t mean we are going to be in holydays," concluded Eric Vigouroux.
