Pharaons 2006: The Hungarian Flex-MAN Team in Stage 3.

This stage some of the competitors could be very familiar because in 2003 it was one of the stage of Dakar. The FLEX-man´s had no technical problem during the stage so let me see some interesting data from cockpit. They had calculated that Balazs usually change the gear between 2000-3000 times from stage by stage, they drink 2-5 litres water per day and they have lost from their weight about 1,5-2 kg from the beginning of the race. The highest dune height was about 150 metres where they had to drive up, and down on the other side; and their average speed was near to 65 km/h during the 1300 km what they have completed from Cairo. The team has - jumped again ahead 2 places - finished on place 19th in overall and still stayed on place 5th in their category.
Balazs Szobi: "The MAN racetruck was prepared right and has worked well during the 3 days. On Friday there are two selective stages for the teams like in Baja Spain last year, so we have some experience about this situation. I think the results are not the final because the hardest stages will come on stage 5 and 6 around Siwa, where if you blocked up in the sand the wasted time can be considerable."
