Pharaons Rally: Description of stage 4 - Loop Siwa-Siwa (347 Km).

Tomorrow┬┤s stage (Siwa-Siwa, Loop of 347 km): Stage four marks the difference between those that know how to follow a course and those that follow the tracks of the others in front of them to get them through the most delicate zones. The start of the stage until CP2, at km115, alternates large dunes with very fast sandy valleys, where the speed of the riders is quite high. After that comes flat sandy zones alternating with long stetches of fesh fesh until the mountains arrive and then the riders enter a big canyon. The route then goes up to a plateau with quite a few jumps between CP3 and CP4, at kilometre 364, with a lot of stony zones which force the riders to slow down. Once this tricky section finishes there are more dunes to tackle, special attention had to be paid to the descents and the broken dunes that complicate the route. The final section of the special is full of smaller dunes surrounding the gardens of Siwa, a zone with a higher population density where the riders have to go carefully.
