 | Pharaons Rally: Eric Vigouroux "It will be a great Battle with Schlesser".
|
After his successful participation in two races of the FIA World Cup and the victory in the 24 Hours of Morocco, French Chevrolet-Pilot Eric Vigouroux arrives to Pharaons Rally very motivated, full of possibilities to reach the Two Wheel Drive Trophy of the FIA World Cup. As this will be his first time in Egypt, the French driver can´t wait to see the outcome of the race.
The year 2010 has gone very fast for Vigouroux and his co-driver Alex Winocq. After participating in three races since de beginning of the season, the crew is in such a great shape that they are even heading the Two Wheel Drive Trophy classification of the FIA Cross Country Rally World Cup. Eric and Alex are in a favorable position to face the race, but they must stand the attacks of Mister Jean Louis Schlesser who won´t give up easily.
"After our overall victory in the 24H of Morocco, we wanted to go further and we went directly to the Rally Estoril-Marrakech, where we finished on the podium right behind the BMW X-raid team" tells Vigouroux. "Once in the plane to flight back to the United States, the idea to go for the World Champion Title in Two Wheel Drives for drivers and manufacturers came to my head naturally", explains Eric.
Pharaons Rally will be a crucial because it is the last leg of the FIA World Cup 2010. "I like the context on which we are taking it and I am impatient to be th I can´t wait to be there because it will be our first experience in Pharaons Rally and if we finish in a good position, we have all possibilities to get the title that would complete our records and it would be such a great reward for the team and our loyal partners".
But to make this goal come true won´t be so simple because Jean Louis Schlesser will also be there also looking for a victory. "It will be a great battle because Jean-Louis is second in the FIA classification, only five points behind me so everything can happen. We decided to give our best so we won´t have anything to regret, no matter what happens," says Eric. "Anyways, the duel against Mister Schlesser "himself" will get all the attention for the race of the title 2010!".
