Pharaons Rally: New ideas, new Score-class and new routes in 2007.

The Pharaons rally 2007: An event with many news. The track, mapped out by Jacky Ickx, besides to be the longest and the most various of all the season, adds to its wealth a new element unique in its genre: A "Grand Prix" every day (between 50 and 100 km).

As always at the Pharaons, the transfer are reduced at minimum and the Selective Sections start from a bivouac to arrive directly at the next one. At the Pharaons 2007, the arrival stage bivouac will be a CP, with an assistance area, from where will start the second part of the Selective Section. This last one will be the object of a particular classification, with a prize given every day by one of the 2007 rally sponsor.

There will be the "Grand Prix Chopard", the "Grand Prix Egyptair", the "Grand Prix Samar" and every night the prize will be given to the winner of the day, car, motorbike and truck. Beyond the spur that tall this will get to the pilots, a selective section near the bivouac will give to everyone, assistants, accompanying people, press and TV, the possibility of live this challenge between pilots close up.

Another interesting news for the cars is the introduction into the technical regulation of the Pharaons 2007 of an "Open Group" into which will be admitted, as at the Dakar, the vehicles conformed to the American SCORE regulation. For the trucks, the Pharaons 2007 will allow the start to all the vehicles excluded by the FIA regulation for the World Cup, but conformed to the Regulation in force at the Dakar.

Besides to be the rally more similar at the Dakar as ground (the dunes and the type of sand of Egypt are the ones more similar at the Mauritania), besides to have the date the most favourable in view of a participation at the next Dakar (in 2006 the vehicles arrived in Genova the 19th October), starting from the next edition, it will be also the most similar at the Dakar about the regulation: Which can be a better test bench?

From the 1st February 2007 the registrations are opened, with very favourable conditions for the pilots that will pay by the 30th April. For more information about the race, the new web site [ www.jvd.it ] is on-line with a new graphic and texts.
