|Rally Raid Cooperation: RallyRaid UK & RallyMoto agreed to work together|
Rally Raid UK is Britain’s biggest, longest established and most successful desert rally team competing in events in Europe, Asia, North Africa, the Middle East and the Dakar Rally in Africa and South America. They have taken more than two hundred and fifty riders, drivers and support crew to that event over the last sixteen years.
They are one of the few teams to enter all categories of this most gruelling rally by having bike, car and truck entries. The new Desert Warrior 3 designed and built using the knowledge and expertise of team boss Paul Round and Mike ‘Beady’ Jones has just returned from pre-season testing in Morocco.
RallyMoto is the team name for a new venture by Robert Hughes and Mark Molineux who have years of valuable rally experience. The pair has been responsible for the organisation of the Big Bike Rally Challenge, to be known in future as the All-Terrain Rally Challenge with the aim of providing training and competition for owners of machines of all capacities.
They organise the popular Rally Sprint series, rally training days and in August will host the Touratech Centennial Rally & Ride. Which is the first ever British three day event, starting in Carlisle, with classes for all types of machines; the course will use the forests to the northeast of the city with a marathon stage on Saturday. There are still a few entries available.
The co-operation of these two experienced teams brings together asset sharing for European and North African rallies, testing and training sessions. Planning for the remaining rallies this year, 2014 events and the 2015 Dakar Rally is already underway.
