Red Bull Romaniacs: Inscription is open for 2009 edition.

Founder and mastermind of Red Bull Romaniacs (this year's 6th anniversary edition scheduled for August 15 to 19, 2009), Martin Freinademetz from the organizing agency [ ] offroad tours explains: "We'll be able to host and cater for up to 250 riders in 2009; more are not possible due to track conditions and safety aspects for the riders. From last year's feedback from the pan European markets we know that the demand for our starting slots remains high; in 2008 the 230 slots were sold out by March for an event in September. To date, we have a little more than 100 inscriptions, so it's starting to get a little tight already."

The event's center and main bivouac will again be the town of Sibiu (Romania), but for one night, an external overnight bivouac will be set up in the city of Petrosani, in order to ramp up the Rally-character and to add superb tracks over the mountains stages. Again, new routes have been created, Martin Freinademetz and xventure track scouts have been out since the end of the 2008 Enduro Rally, searching, finding and developing new adventurous tracks, and for the Pros some torturous routes to fully test their talents.

Prominent names in both - title holders and challengers - have already announced their participation for 2009: Be it 2008 surprise first time entered winner and title defender Graham Jarvis (UK, Sherco), Kiwi Chris Brich (KTM) or the Husaberg Force with Shane Cuthbertson (CAN), Dieter Happ and Erich Brandauer (both AUT).

BMW's decision on whom to send for this extreme challenge in 2009 is still pending, will they probably even send their new signing David Knight (UK), who has won pretty much everything globally EXCEPT this event, and so get BMW up from second on the podium in 2008 to first time BMW winner in 2009?

Will the two hard enduro specialists within BMW's team, two times RBR runner-up Gerhard Forster and Erzberg vice champ Andi Lettenbichler be pimped even more? Only time will tell - and of course Berti Hauser, BMW's team-manager. But there will definitely be some very hot BMW G 450X Enduros in the line-up, that's a given!

KTM has already dropped the bomb: Reportedly, they will be sending two bigs guns with the Dakar winner and three times Red Bull Romaniacs champion Cyril Despres (FRA) as well as Teddy Blazusiak (POL), two times winner of Red Bull Harescramble.

After all, the lineup at the Red Bull Romaniacs Rallye in 2009 will better than ever before, and latest at the start of the event on August 15, everyone can watch this fight live on [ ] with a minitracker technology, allowing real-time online tracking accompanied by superb live pics and videos.
