|Romanian Baja: Organizers of "Hungarian Baja" to present a new Baja.|
From the organisers of the "Hungarian Baja" there will be a new Event: The [ ROMANIAN BAJA ] - the "younger brother" of the "Baja Eurocarpatica".
"In the next years this event became the most famous event of the Hungarian Cross-Country Championship, and after a few years break we come back again and we will organize in renewed form this event which is called this year "Romanian Baja", but at the same time as an event of UEM European Championship and as an event of FIM World Cup, and as a candidating event ofFIA World Cup Championship" said organizer Zoltan Garamvölgyi.
"The magic of the track is ensured by mountains, valleys, forests, fields, rivers and hights which sometimes seem to be impossible. We can make these liveable with the nicely renewed and beautified, civilized town of Nagybánya, in which we can find hotels, pensions, restaurants, shopping malls and night life for every demands" Garamvölgyi added.
The centre of the event is Baia Mare. There are lot of accomodations in different categories in the town. The airport – which can be found in front of the town – provides a perfect HQ for the event, the service park, the secretariat, the scrutineering, one of the refuelling zones, the parc fermé, the prologue/superspecial stage, and also one of the special stages will be there, the latter will be used more times per day.
If you are a rider and should be enter both to the FIM World Cup and FIM-Europe UEM European Championship events, You must have FIM and FIM-Europe UEM licences. In this situation the Entry fee is 990 Euro + 80 Euro for the yearly entrant for the Baja Champ's Promoter.
On Saturday, an air parade will also be organised at the airport, but by that time you will be occupied really with the hardships of the long special stage.
On this day also the service teams will settle out to a very nice ski village where locally made special meals and drinks can be tasted during the service and regrouping periods. "We will minimize the length of the road sections in this way and we will ensure you 100% race experience" Garamvölgyi promised.
Only for motobikes/for quads, the organisation will allow the transportation of the vehicles on the road sections, but the orientation will only be possible based on the roadbook.
On the special stages the directions will be designated with the well-known yellow plates with the black arrow, the road closures will be designated with ribbons and the hazardous places – exactly at the place of the hazard – will be designated with red plate with three exlamation marks.
Paralelly, during the administrative checks all competitors will receive their road books, the use of this is not obligatory for motobikers/for quad drivers during the race, but it has to be observed.
"I myself recommend the use of roadbook during the special stages as well, because we can only draw your attention effectively to lot of hazards or speed check zone in this way" added Zoltan Garamvölgyi.
