 | SA-Dakar 2011: Former F1-Pilot Eliseo Salazar in second Gordon Hummer.

 |  | | The former Chilenian Formula 1 driver Eliseo Salazar is expected to drive the second Robby Gordon Hummer at the South America Dakar, as Chilenian newspapers reported. Salazar participated in 37 Formula One World Championship races. His Dakar-debut was in 2009 with a McRae Enduro, finishing in 88th place.
Salazar reached an agreement this week with the US-american Team Hummer of Robby Gordon. He will be the 25th Chilean in this third edition of the Dakar in South American competition this demanding sport. Salazar and Robby Gordon will again be teammates. The last time was in 2001 when both drivers ran together in the Foyt team in the Indy 500.
Salazar, who is currently in the United States, is scheduled to return next week that held a press conference along with Robby Gordon give details of their participation. In 2010, Carlo de Gavardo started with a rented Hummer, but retired after the first days.
