Marathonrally.com reported last week - now we have more informations. After several months of hard preparation and 3000 km intensive off road test, the first T2 pickup Volkswagen Amarok is ready to start the next Rally Dakar 2011.
The Argentineans pilots, Gabriel Piñón and Javier Dobalo, are very Conform with the performance achieved by the car, entirely developed by "Baratec" (a WRC factory provider), near Cordoba city, in Argentina.

This historic first-run Amarok will compete next to another similar car, belonging to a tripulation of Mendoza, currently in production, with whom it is already working to consolidate the "race strategy" to address the harder rally of the world.
