 | SA-Dakar 2011: Rally brings Renault Trucks clother comtacts with customers.

An off-road vehicle par excellence, with exemplary pulling power, flawless reliability and outstanding crossing capacity, Renault Kerax will once again be an unmissable feature of the Dakar 2011. Operating as an assistance vehicle, it will play the immensely valuable role of "Good Samaritan" for those competing.
And, as has now become the tradition, once again this year it will be "escorted" by the Sherpa, a vehicle of military origins with an uncompromising appearance and impressive ground clearance that makes it one of the most popular vehicles in the rally caravan every year!
For Renault Trucks, the Dakar in Argentina and Chile is the ideal opportunity for communicating to and making closer contacts with its South American customers. To make its products and services better known, Renault Trucks will also be highlighting its Optifuel Solutions adapted to its Construction range and, during the entire course of the rally, will be presenting the new Renault Premium Lander fitted with the Optidriver+ robotised gearbox which will become available in South America during 2011.
Finally, a particularly high profile will be given to the social responsibility programme set up by the Argentinian subsidiary in November. This programme is based on two themes that are very important to Renault Trucks: road safety and preserving the environment. Six journalists specialising in this type of programme will be accompanying the Renault Trucks teams and highlighting 14 key questions relative to these issues. Several events have been planned to take place all along the route and reports of the various initiatives will be posted online in a dedicated blog.
