 | SA-Dakar 2011 TICKER: Marcos Patronelli crashed - participation not secure.

The Argentinian Dakar Champion in ATV-class, Marcos Patronelli, crashed this week during a test session for Dakar Rally 2011. "Patronelli’s quadricycle suffered a malfunction that caused a wheel to fall off. It was in General Alvear, where the driver practiced" the magazine [ momento24.com ] wrote.
The 2010 champion was transported to local hospital. There it was informed that Patronelli suffered a surgical break of both ankles and a dislocated collarbone, leaving the defense of his title in January in problems.
