 | SA-Dakar 2012: Three motobikers from Turkey will participate in Dakar 2012.

 Since 2000, Kemal Merkit is representing Turkey in Dakar Rally in motorbike category. In his 8th year on the Dakar, Kemal Merkit will bring two amateur and newcomers to Southamerica, under the big support of Turkish Motorbike Federation (TMF).
For the eighth time, the Turkish will be registered in the ‘malle-moto' class for the real privateers with no assistance. Kemal has actually become a real legend of the Dakar and many look up to him as a real hero.
Despite a broken collarbone in October, he's as ready as can be, and even became Turkish mountain-bike champion in the veteran class this year, as well as 2nd of the FIM cross-country World championships in Open Class.
Sakir Senkalayci is is Turkish Champion on Enduro, Super Moto and Motocross for many years, he will be racing Number 184 for the first time in the Dakar Rally. Selçuk Bektas is a business partner and experienced Turkish rider at KTM Turkey. Selcuk will be witnessing his first Dakar in January with number 154
Dakar Turkish Team will be attending the Dakar 2012 with their KTM 450 EXC and the Team’s first goal to see the finish line all together with their Turkish Flag. Also in Malle Moto class they are willing to get the top 3 place.
