He continued: "Despite the difficulties of the past two days, I keep the peace and continue every day trying to be consistent but I will not lose my competitive spirit."
"Thursday was a day to get back the good feelings. The stage was complicated and difficult to navigate, I have been going up positions and passing riders but without taking any risk. It was important to stand also to undertake the following days in Copiapo in good starting position. I look forward to these stages of sand dunes."
