 | SA-Dakar Rally: More success for Honda´s Juan Carlos Salvatierra in 11/12.
|

 | | | As the Dakar Rally headed into Peru on Thursday for the Arica to Arequipa stage, in which the riders negotiated a tough sequence of obstacles, as well as Friday’s Arequipa to Nasca stage, "Bel-Ray Super B Honda" rider Juan Carlos Salvatierra has made significant progress and is now up-to 34th overall.
Thursday’s tough challenge, which saw some of the most difficult sections since the Dakar rallies in Africa previously, was relatively trouble-free for the Bel-Ray Super B Honda team, as Salvatierra moved further up the ranks. With no assistance available from the support team due to the location of the end of the stage, riders had to do their own repairs and maintenance ahead of yesterday’s stage 12.
The distance of stage 12 had been shortened, although the 195km connection and 245km special from Arequipa to Nasca was still another grueling challenge through the dunes for machine and rider. Juan Carlos Salvatierra enjoyed another strong outing aboard his CRF450X finishing the special in a strong 15th place and ending the day in 34th overall.
