 | SA-Dakar Rally TICKER: Marc Coma wins SS12 and becomes overall leader.

The Spaniard Marc Coma has won the 12th stage of the Dakar Rally 2012 from Arequipa to Nasca in Peru. The day was easy and short for the bikes: Coma finished the 245 kilometers special in just 02:24:38 hours, 2:43 minutes in front of Joan Barreda Bort with the best Husqvarna, 3:10 to Jordi Viladoms (France, KTM) and 3:57 to Cyril Despres (France).
In the overall rankings Marc Coma will be the new leader with 39:38:16 and a new gap of only 1:35 mins to Cyril Despres. Helder Rodrigues from Portugal kept the 3rd place with the best Yamaha and +01:13:49 hours, 4th Jordi Viladoms (KTM, +01:40:34), 5th Stefan Svitko (KTM, 01:41:45).
