 | SA-Dakar Rally TICKER: Peterhansel winner, two Toyota on today´s podium.

326 kilometers timed and 424 kms liaison were today´s quest for the cars on the 4th stage of the Dakar 2012 from San Juan to Chilecito. Again a stagewin for one of the "poppy" X-raid Mini All4 Racing: Top-favourit Stéphane Peterhansel finished first after 03:49:33 hours.
This also changed the overall standings in the cars category: Peterhansel will be leader again, 5:41 minutes in front of De Villers / Von Zitzewitz (Toyota Hilux) and 6:44 to Nani Roma / Michel Périn (X-raid Mini)
Especially a great day for Toyota: All Overdrive/Imperial Toyotas finished in the Top 15. Duncas Vos became 8th today (+13:49), Ezequiel Alvarez 12th (+15:13).
Orlando Terranova / Andy Grider and Giniel de Villiers / Dirk von Zitzewitz set the best times and finished second (+5:19) and third (+6:42). They were followed by the two Mini of Nani Roma (Spain, +7:35) and the Pole Kristof Holowczyc (+10:51).
Sensational day also for the "X-raid supported" Great Wall from China. Former FIA World Champion Carlos Sousa from Portugal finished 6th today with only 11:40 minutes left. In the overall ranking, Sousa and his codriver Jean-Pierre Garcin are on 8th position with 30:45 minutes left.
Best Mitsubishi of the day was the Dutch Erik Wevers with his "Wevers Sport" Riwald Mitsubishi Racing Lancer. he finishes 7th today with 13:17 mins to Peterhansel. This means, Wevers is also best Mitsubishi in the Overalls: Pos. 10 with 36:42 mins to Stéphane Peterhansel - and only 5:05 minutes in front of the Dutch Erik van Loon.
For the Nissan cars: With today´s 18th position (+35:24) the only Nissan car in the Top 20 was the Brazilian former motobiker Jean de Azevedo. In this year the 37year-old startet with a Nissan Navara Overdrive for the Brazilian Petrobras Lubrax Team.
