Day thriller at the Sardinia Rally Race. hard Lands, long hours of driving, and exhausting attention to the notes of the road book. To cope with the two special drawn mostly in the Sulcis Iglesiente, designed and inspired by the myth of the Labyrinth, competitors had to squeeze all their best qualities. They will be happy, winners and losers, of having lived a day to remember.

Andrea Mancini, third in the overall, committed a small error in navigation.
In the second special Spaniards organized better the defense, by applying a better team tactic. Coma gave the way to Jordi Viladoms, the Engineer of Catalan Igualada, that signed a shocking success in the maybe most technical special test of the rally. Despres was forced by the "pressure" to commit a small error, again. The profile of the special test was reversed. Marc Coma was second, but better than Despres, which added another thirty seconds to te gap with the rival. Andrea Mancini, on the grand finale of the stage, consolidates his third absolute position.
