SCORE PRIMM 300: Team Hummer returns to Nevada Desert.

Just two short weeks after Team Hummer's first-place finishes at the TSCO Vegas to Reno, Team Hummer returns to the Las Vegas area once again, this time to tame the deserts of Southern Nevada in SCORE International's Terrible's Primm 300, Sept. 7-8. Entering their stock-class H3 and H2, Team Hummer's Rod Hall and Josh Hall will join an expected 200 entries in this weekend's desert race, which marks Round 5 of the six-race 2007 SCORE Desert Series.

Rod is the returning Primm 300 mini-stock champion, winning his inaugural Primm race in 2006. Hall and the H3 remain undefeated in the mini-stock class, with class victories at the Laughlin Desert Challenge and Baja 500.

"A short course like the Primm doesn't give you much room to make up from a mistake or breakdown," said Rod Hall, Team Hummer owner. "The race is basically a 150-mile paced sprint. I can't think of another vehicle I'd rather tackle this course with than a Hummer." This year's race will mark the first time Josh and the H2 have competed in the Primm.

For the sixth consecutive year, the SCORE Terrible's Primm 300 has been split into two groups with the open wheel, VW baja bug and numerous truck classes, including mini-stock and full-stock, starting at 6 a.m. The remaining truck classes, including the featured SCORE Trophy-Truck division along with the unlimited Class 1 open-wheel desert race cars, will start at 1 p.m.

One vehicle will start every 30 seconds in the elapsed-time race with a seven-hour time limit to become official finishers. For the stock class vehicles and Team Hummer, the race will consist of running a 72-mile loop twice.

Hall, 69, is a living legend in the off-road racing world. His relentless and unfailing driving ability has earned him a record 18 career wins at the Baja 1000 and the distinction of being the only driver in history to win the Baja 1000 overall in a four-wheel drive vehicle. Moreover, Hall today remains the only person to have raced every Baja 1000 in a four-wheeled vehicle in the 39-year history of the event.

2007 marks a special year for Team Hummer as owner and H3 driver Rod Hall prepares to enter his 40th consecutive Baja 1000. To follow the progress of Team Hummer in the 2007 SCORE Terrible's Primm 300 live, visit [ ].
