 | Sertoes Rally: Thirty thousand people watch the first day of Sertões.

The 18th edition of the Sertões International Rally is officially open. On the evening of Tuesday (10), in Goiania, Super Prime set the starting order of the drivers. To celebrate the first day of competition this year, a large party was thrown, and about 30 000 people attended the intense schedule of exciting events on the spot.
On the 1,110-meter track of the Super Prime, 155 vehicles - 70 motorcycles, 60 cars, 15 trucks and 10 quads - and 235 competitors, among drivers and navigators, led the crowd wild. Before that, however, a show of fireworks, and speeches by Marcos Moraes, organizer of the race, and Alcides Rodrigues, current Governor of the State of Goiás, officially opened the 18th Sertões International Rally.
With the support of the State of Goiás, which hosts the Super Prime for nine consecutive years, the Super Prime bleachers were expanded in 2010 and had total capacity - that was hit - of 13 thousand people. This public has generated a great benefit to the Organization of Volunteers of Goiás (OVG). Each fan has donated two kilos of nonperishable food for admission, resulting in a total of 26 tons donated to the institution.
Beyond the bleachers, Super Prime again hosted their sponsors, supporters and guests at a VIP area. Also in an extended version of last year, the Hospitality Centers (HCs), 130 meters long, received 1,100 people, who had a privileged and exclusive view of the track, besides catering service. Some other thousands of fans visited the pits in the morning and afternoon and browsed around the area located opposite to the Flamboyant Shopping Center during the Super Prime.
Covering the opening day of Rally Sertões 2010, more than 250 journalists - including Brazilians and foreigners - have been accredited. In the technical area of competition between commissioners, race clerks, signaling technicians, the prologue almost 50 people. Public and professionals involved were able to follow every detail of the disputes in the four 474 sq ft LED panels. The whole Super Prime structure was set up in 15 days.
