 | Shamrock Rally: French Morocco-Rally will be final of Wildcat Trophy.
|
Next October will be full of events for the Wildcats with the great finale of the Wildcat-Trophy that will take place at the Shamrock Rally. The race will be carried out around Zagora city in Morocco´s South-East. It will be the best chance to do the last training before the Africa Race and not to say, a great navigation practice for next season.
The Shamrock, the final leg of the present season, will be a great fight to get the best place and win the Wildcat-Trophy of 2010. Like in Tunisia´s Rally, NPO will award the best driver with 6 BF Mud tires and an NPO voucher will be given to the 2nd 500 Euros and 3rd place 250 Euros. All Wildcat Trophy participant will benefit of 5%off cumulated with NPO's advantage and their voucher.
Like the 3rd leg, the Shamrock Rally has its own particularities. As its name indicates it, the route is like a clover. Each afternoon teams will come back to the same place to discover a new stage the next morning. There will be a progressive process along all stages with a final sprint of 40km that competitors will take for four times. There will also be a start with all competitors at the same time, for their greatest pleasure.
Pierre Lachaume, who was quite satisfied last year, comes back to try to chase big cars like during Shamrock 2009, where he achieved the 5th place. Patrick Sireyjol, Wildcat-Trophy´s winner of 2007 and 2008 will try to mark the maximum of points so the Wildcat-Trophy will be back in his hands for 2010.
The Shamrock is an ideal race for beginners and for those who want to test their cars before 2011. This unique rally proposes to do a stage twice. This allows driver and co-driver to reverse their places and to learn more about each other´s role. The advantage of doing loops offers a different way to ride; navigator can take notes for the second loop. For those who don´t like to camp every night, there will be a hotel. It is also an excellent opportunity for navigators to prepare themselves for the 2011 season. That has changed is that the GPS arrow will appear at 400M and not from 3 km. There will be lots of suspense!
The race will take place on the country side of Zagora, where we can discover the Draa Valley, the main water source of the region that runs along the sides of the Djbels Mountains in harmony with the palms extended for miles. The portion of the famous Erg Cheggaga, which received the Dakar rally many times, will be part of the race.
