|
The Russian "Team 4Rally" pilots Pavel Loginov and Vadim Saveliev approved the staff of the team and race cars for the "Silk Way Rally 2012". Loginov will drive the last evolution of Toyota Hilux Evo IV, category T1, and the place of co-driver will be occupied by Anton Pletenev. Technical support of sports cars of team 4Rally will be organized by a Spanish team 4WD Jaton Racing.
"The Toyota Hilux is already familiar to me from last year experience on "Rally of Morocco" where I raced the second evolution of this car. I was satisfied with car’s settings, suspension and reliability of the car" said Pavel Loginov.
"For the SWR 2012 the 4WD Jaton Racing team prepares for us the last, the fourth, evolution of Hilux. It has more powerful engine, the sports turbine, new brakes and the last modification of suspension with a complete set of new Donerre absorbers, and also it is important to say, that the base of the car was reduced on 17 cm. All these important differences gave simplification of weight on 80 kg, increase of maneuverability, running and dynamic settings of the car."
The second crew of team 4Rally becomes international as Vadim Saveliev will participate in the Russian race together with the Spanish navigator Ariel Jaton on Toyota LC 120 car in category T2.
"Our duet with Ariel becomes for me new experience, hope we will work well together and will achieve the main goals in “Silk Way Rally 2012? which is the first for both of us" said Saveliev.
"About the race car, on the forthcoming race, we prefered a choice of standard Toyota LC 120 which in my opinion, is optimum in all technical characteristics and our goals for race. Concerning the T1 car - Toyota Hilux which I managed to test in Spain - the car was perfect for me and in the next races I plan to take it and try in race format."
