|TORC STC 2014: Crandon welcomes Popcorn Sutton´s Sportsman Challenge|
Crandon International Off-Road Raceway is proud to announce Popcorn Sutton's Sportsman Truck Challenge. This is the second year for the immensely popular event that will be the Friday evening finale during the "F.C. Potawatomi Friday Night Thunder" program.
The twelve lap sprint race will feature the top MORR Sportsman truck drivers in the North America. The four competing divisions, Sport 4, Super Truck, Formula 4x4 and Super Stock Truck will be handicapped allowing the fastest trucks in each class to go side by side in the final laps for one of the largest purses in Sportsman short-course history.
"Last year was our inaugural event," noted Jake Flannery. "The race was wildly popular with the racers and the fans. This year we have Popcorn Sutton as the title sponsor and it's great to see a company that supports the PRO competitors as well as Sportsman racers. Crandon is celebrating forty-five years of off-road racing and having the Popcorn Sutton Sportsman Truck Challenge cap off the first day of our Labor Day Weekend of racing is awesome."
Currently the cash and contingency posted for the Popcorn Sutton's Sportsman Truck Challenge is over $7000. Along with the title sponsor Popcorn Sutton's White Whiskey, additional companies are participating with contingency offers including: Allstar Performance, AMSOIL, Auto Trans Design, BDS Suspension, PDank Performance, and Teamtech Motorsports.
