Transiberico Rali: Estoril welcomes competitors in Portugal.

| |
| The city hosts a number of big racing events every year. The portuguese Formula 1 circuit is situated here, small jets and helicopters are always flying in the sky. Morning starts with a light sea breeze, but within an hour a kind and warm atmosphere turns into a burning heat which you can't hide from even in a shade. That's what made the "administrative day" of Vodafone Rali Transiberico especially difficult, as mechanics, crews and team members had to spend most of their time off the shade.
Today is the first day of the 3rd round of the FIA Cup for Cross-Country Rallies, Transiberico 2009. The city's completely turned around following the appearance of bright racing cars, always hurrying team managers and the sportsmen themselves. And only do mechanics stand out from this "rainbow" as they are now moving slowly and smoothly. That's because they've been working hard for the past few days, and under such a heat anybody could lose the boost charge. It's +33 here in Estoril. Maybe a common temperature for a native citizen, but certainly a real challenge for the northern men like we are.
We'd like to specially thank our friends and partners from Prolama Pro2 team and their leader Rui Sousa who helped us in difficult preparations before the race. Exhausted by a lond Europe-through drive could only our team effictively work in a comfortable atmosphere of Prolama's workhouse and get fully ready before the start of this important evemt.
The administrative check and the scrutineering were held today, as well as a pre-start briefing for competitors and... of course the grand opening ceremony! Flags, posters, newspapers and radio broadcsts... Feels like the city is saturated with the emotions caused by Transiberico.
