Rali Transiberico 2007 Special-Newssection (FIA Cross Country Worldcup)

This is the single-news section of the special of the Rali Transiberico 2007, 1st round of the FIA Worldcup for Cross Country Rallys. To see all news please use the link under the article or navigate with the left main-navigation.

Transiberico: What they said after the last stage in Portugal.

Carlos Sainz: "It was very hard and complicated. I am very happy with this win. Portugal is like a "charm" in all my career, and now I would like only to win a race in Africa. It was allways lots of heat and it was very bad in the second day. I think this can be a harder race than the Dakar."

Colin McRae: "It was OK, yesterday and today. Only in the first day the brake problems forced us to stop. Despite this I probably would have achieved a better result."

Nani Roma: "I am very happy because I could drive better and better each day. The event was well marked and the organisers worked very well."

Luc Alphand: "We had no chances to discuss the victory. What happened yesterday in the river didn’t help us, so this is the better final place."

Carlos Sousa: "I am very happy, because it was the best place we can imagine. I had no possibilities against the first two drivers."

Felipe Campos: "It was very good. I have waited for such a classification since the start of the season. If we hadn’t the brake problem, it could be even better, maybe not in the overall but with less distance to the top drivers."

Miguel Barbosa: "At least it was very good for the championship. It was a pitty the first day abandon. I would like to give my regards to Luis Ramalho who was really great"

Nuno Inocencio: "It was all very well today despite the puncture in the 5th km of the 2nd SS".

Helder Oliveira: "I was 6th overall and 3rd between the Portuguese Drivers. That’s fantastic. Today I’ve only tried to keep my position so Ì drove slowly."
