UAE Desert Challenge: What they said after Stage 4 (Biker).

Bike No.1 Marc Coma (E): "The first part of the stage went into the dunes and it’s difficult to find the right way through when you start first. I lost some time there, and lost my rhythm and after that I rode the last 280km with Cyril (Despres) and Pal (Ullevalseter)."

Bike No.3 Pal Ullevalseter (N): "It was almost perfect. I started No.2 and Despres caught me and then we caught Coma and after that the three of us rode together. It was nice company. Some parts of the stage were in the dunes and others were much faster – a little bit of everything."

Bike No.4 Cyril Despres (F): "For me that was the nicest stage of the rally so far. After yesterday I couldn’t imagine that it could be so different. It was very pleasant riding. Anything is possible tomorrow. I will keep trying to the end and go as fast as possible."

Bike No.6 Francisco Lopez (CHI): "The first five or six kilometers was very fast and then we had a lot of sand, and I really liked the stage. It was a perfect day for me and good training for Dakar."

Bike No.15 James West (GB): "I got my back wheel caught up in some wire at a farm and it took me a few minutes to get free. But apart from that it was a fantastic stage and I was flowing."

Bike No.21 David McBride (GB): "I lost my back brake before the refueling with about 130km to go. It wasn’t easy after that because in the small dunes you use your back brake a lot. I had to be careful, but I got to the end."

Bike No.22. Miran Stanovnik (SLO): "It was an enjoyable stage, a bit tricky in places but the best stage of the rally so far."

Bike No.34. Michael Angerer (A): "It was faster than the other days and a good day for me. At the refueling Azevedo (No.14) was coming up from behind and after that we rode in together."

Bike No.71 Atif Al Zarouni (UAE): "Everything was fine today. It was a nice stage, the best so far. Definitely a lot better than the second day when I was leaking oil and losing so much time."
