Wilderness Explorer series invites 4x4-travellers around the world.




Wilderness Explorer (W.E.) is a new brand name for those who wish to indulge in adventure travel & discovery pursuits, organized by Luis J.A.Wee, Founder of the legendary Rainforest Challenge. Doing it the "out of the ordinary way." For those who love driving long distances in off-road vehicles to far-away places for that once-in-a-lifetime achievement, taking the road/track less travelled, marvelling at breathtaking sights along the way and making friendship from around the world, the Wilderness Explorer is for you. For those seeking non-motorised pursuits - with a thrill for the outdoors and a penchant for adventure, the Wilderness Explorer is for you too.

The enchanting and colourful continent of South America, one of the last frontiers of adventure travel beckons. Marvel the 4th biggest continent covering some 12% of the Earth's surface; the 2nd highest mountain range in the world after the Himalayas, the highest lake (Lake Titicaca), "hell on earth" desert of Atacama, the lost empire of the Incas (Machu Picchu), indigenous culture and breath taking sceneries of the wild rugged outdoors of Ushuaia and Patagonia. This total journey of Trans America covers 61 days in total. However, you have an option - depending on your time and preference to choose the following packages.

Package I - Samba Edition from 11th October to 25th October

A 16-day adventure driving from Buenos Aires (Argentina) to Asuncion (Paraguay). Those bringing their own vehicles should ship to Buenos Aires for the official flag-off on 12th October.

Itinerary : From Buenos Aires - Punta del Este, Porto Alegre, Florianopolis, Paranagua, Guaruja, Rio de Jenerio, Sao Paulo, Londrina, Foz da Iguazu and ends in Asuncion. Malaysian travellers depart from Asuncion airport for KLIA (Kuala Lumpur)while foreigners depart for respective home destinations.

Costings I : USD3,800 entry fees + USD800 (hop in passengers, those not bringing their vehicles).

Costings II: USD3,800 entry fees + USD6,800 (ocean freight/handling for Malaysian vehicles only; foreign vehicles should ship theirs to Buenos Aires, preferably with Maersk Lines). Vehicle owners can also choose to hire out their passenger seats to W.E organizer. Please consult us.

Package II - Inca Edition from 23rd October to 7th November

A 16-day adventure driving from Asuncion - Filadeifia, Camiri, Sucre, Oruro, La Paz, Cuzco, Machu Picchu, Ayachucho, Huancayo and ends at Lima. Malaysian travellers depart from Lima airport for KLIA (Kuala Lumpur)while foreigners depart for respective home destinations.

Costings I & II as per Package I. Vehicle owners can also choose to hire out their passenger seats to W.E organizer. Please consult us.

Package III - Atacama Edition from 5th November to 20th November

A 16-day adventure driving from Lima - Nazca, Arequipa, Arica, Sebaya, Uyuni, Laguna Colorada, San Pedro Atacama, Cladera, Santiago de Chile, Temuco and Bariloche. Malaysian travellers depart from Bariloche airport to KLIA (Kuala Lumpur) while foreigners depart for respective home destinations.

Package IV - Patagonia Edition from 16th November to 10th December

A 25-day adventure driving from Santiago de Chile - Temuco, Bariloche, Esquel, Coihaique, Lagos del Furioso, El Chalten, El Calafate, Puerto Natales, Rio Grande, Ushuaia, Rio Gallegos, Petrifield forest, Trelew/Rawson, Puerto Madryn, Bahai Blanca, Mar del Plata and Buenos Aires. Malaysian travellers depart from Bariloche airport to KLIA (Kuala Lumpur) while foreigners depart for respective home destinations.

Costings I : USD5,800 + USD1,250 (hop in passengers, those not bringing their vehicles).

Costings II: USD5,800 + USD6,800 (ocean freight/handling for Malaysian vehicles only; foreign vehicles should ship theirs to Buenos Aires, preferably with Maersk Lines). Vehicle owners can also choose to hire out their passenger seats to W.E organizer.

For those with time to spare for 61 days, the total Trans Americana is USD12,800 + USD3,000 (hop in passengers). If you have the "latin bug", then join us for an exciting discovery of South America 2006.
