 | XRally Marrakech: Organizer Edo Mossi speaks about XRally and Merzouga

The first edition of the [ XRALLY MARRAKECH ] is over. "We brought back home at our return the spectacular landscapes of the Agafay desert, the tracks at the base of the Atlas Mountains, the charme of Marrakech, the hard work and the satisfaction of the race" said organizer Edo Mossi.
"We would like to thank the 40 riders that trusted our Organization taking part to the first edition of this new formula realized by Edo Mossi to make the marathonrallys closer to the professional riders and those who like to make their first experience of the discipline and the desert" he continued.
XRally is meant as a training in the race to fine tune the riding technique and navigation skills in a race that gives to Safety the absolute priority. The tracks presented a great variety of terrain but for the big dunes the appointment is this year at Merzouga from the 3rd to the 9th of November.
"I’m satisfied of the race, a new formula with a logistic that is much more complicated than a race in the desert, such as the Merzouga Rally. For sure there are some aspects that need to be improved, but the base is good."
"The feedback of the new Kit Rally Lite has been very positive. If it is installed correctly, in fact, it’s showed to be very solid. Anyway, we are working at an advanced step of the kit for a further improvement" reported Edo Mossi.
Thinking about 2013, he said: "The XRally will remain in Marrakech, but the race will be one day longer with stages that will bring the rider to the Atlantic Ocean. There will be 2 special stages per day and the tracks will be studied avoiding as much as possible the villages, to reduce the zone with speed limit.
